This is a story about a Dutch girl here in Bangkok and her sister in Netherlands and this goes out specially for all my brothers and sisters at the commmunication department. your hard work is impacting lifes all over the world.

Hi!

 I'm Jaline, Just a month ago, I discovered Newsong. My first Impression was: wow! This feels like family. Maybe this actually is what Jesus Christ intended a church to be!

I was all enthusiastic about  my new found home, that I wrote a email to my 'home front' in the Netherlands. With it, I had sent a link to the Newsong website.

This is the reply I got from my sister, Geertje. She is 17 years old.

Geertje:

“To behonest, the first impression I got from Newsong was a weird one. It doesn't look like a church at all!

But after I read the 'article' Newsong cafe, on that site you sent me, I understood. It sounds like a different kind of church than ours. Actually, it sounds more like a house of Jesus than a church.

In a house,everyone feels comfortable, then you do what you can do best and what you really like to do. And because it is Jesus' house, there is that real Love,what makes you brothers and sisters!

It looks more real than any church I've ever been to. I wish I could go there once with you!”

I think it had to be said.
